Ribosomes

The Cell

Ribosomes secrete proteins. They can be either attached to the Rough ER or free floating in the cytoplasm. Free ribosomes generally make proteins that stay within the cell while attached ribosomes generally make proteins that are exported from the cell.

The Kitchen

Heating elements create most of the products of the kitchen. They are found in the oven, and in other places in the kitchen like heat lamps. They create the final products of the kitchen from a set of raw materials.

Both ribosomes and heating elements create many of the substances in their systems. They can be found in many different places inside their respective system.
