Peroxisomes

The Cell

Peroxisomes are very similar to Lysosomes in structure and function. They break down certain fats and nutrients that Lysosomes cannot.

The Kitchen

A meat grinder does the same job as a cutting board, but it cuts different foods. Meat grinders chop up meat while cutting boards are used to chop fruits and vegetables.

Peroxisomes and a meat grinder both break down incoming items into simpler forms. They both have the same relationship with the analogies for Lysosomes.
